Nominations are invited from registered students and academic staff in the university for the 2015 Distinguished Teachers Awards, in terms of the appended UKZN Distinguished Teachers’ Awards Policy and Procedures.

Individuals or groups may be nominated. Nominations, which also require three seconders (who must be registered students or staff), should be made on the attached Nomination Form (Annexure 1), which should be fully completed and must include the signature of the nominee(s).

Nomination Forms, clearly marked Attention: Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Teaching and Learning, should reach the University Teaching and Learning Office, 2nd Floor Francis Stock Building, Howard College Campus by Monday, 27 June 2016.

Details as to the submission of the Teaching Portfolio by nominees are to be found in the attached documentation; closing date for the receipt of portfolios is Monday, 1 August 2016.

Distinguished Teachers’ Award nominees who have developed a Teaching Portfolio for an application for academic promotion should make arrangements to have this Portfolio (once it has been assessed) forwarded to the University Teaching and Learning Office by the closing date.
