Published by the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Alternation is an international peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal for the Study of the Arts and Humanities in Southern Africa. Selected papers from the Annual Teaching & Learning Higher Education Conferences are published in the journal.
The Department of Higher Education & Training (DHET) recognises, for the purposes of subsidy allocation, only papers published in international journals indexed in one of the lists included here.
As part of its mission, the Teaching & Learning Office has been involvement in various academic publications relating to the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning.
