
Thabo Msibi is the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Teaching and Learning and a professor of Curriculum Studies in the School of Education at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He completed his Master of Education degree at Teachers College: Columbia University and obtained his PhD in Education from the University of Cambridge.

Ms Mathe is the Personal Assistant to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Teaching and Learning at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where she provides comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the DVC’s office. She joined UKZN in 2015, initially serving as PA to the Head of School in the School of Commerce, managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and facilitating operational processes.

Professor Fayth Ruffin’s careers span across the public, private, non-governmental and higher education sectors. She holds a Juris Doctorate (law) degree as well as a PhD in Global Affairs. Prof Ruffin joined UKZN pursuant to a critical skills visa in 2011. She retired as an Honorary Full Professor in 2020 and now serves as an interim director for the UTLO.

Professor Amin's academic career at the University of KwaZulu-Natal began in 2006 when she joined the Leadership Equity Advancement Programme (LEAP) as a lecturer. She was appointed in a permanent capacity as lecturer in 2009 and achieved full professorship in 2021. Her leadership roles at the University include the position of Cluster Leader in 2016 and Academic Leader of Research for the periods 2012 and 2020-2022.

She is currently seconded to the University Teaching and Learning Office (UTLO) as the Principal Accounting Officer. Her role includes the approval of the day- to- day finance expenses, the allocation and monitoring of the UTLO council- controlled budget as well as interim reporting on the expenditure.

Christinah Mulaudzi is a higher education professional with extensive experience in programme management, institutional capacity development, financial management, project governance, and monitoring and evaluation. She currently serves as the Programme Manager for the University Capacity Development Programme (UCDP), where she leads the implementation, monitoring, reporting and strategic coordination of Department of Higher Education ...

Ms Nene is an experienced Public Health Researcher and Project Manager with extensive expertise in research coordination, project management, and higher education initiatives. She currently serves as Project Manager for the Siyaphumelela 3.0 Project within the University Teaching and Learning Office (UTLO) at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN).

Nomzamo Nxumalo is the Special Projects Coordinator, supporting collaboration between the DVC: T&L and both internal and external stakeholders. With over a decade of experience in higher education, including student leadership, she brings multifocal strategic insight and operational expertise to the Teaching and Learning Division at the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
